Judd Apatow’s This Is 40 has a trailer

This Is 40, Judd Apatow’s pseudo-sequel to his own hit Knocked Up, has a new trailer out today.

The film stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann (Apatow’s real-life spouse), who reprise their Knocked Up roles as Pete and Debbie, the heads of a nuclear family with a perpetually strained marriage. This Is 40‘s plot sees the two dealing with middle age, apparently without much dignity or grace. Also returning to the cast are Apatow and Mann’s daughters, Maude and Iris Apatow, as Pete and Debbie’s daughters. Apatow is fond of showing off his family to audiences, occasionally dedicating lengthy scenes to show off their cuteness, so audiences can expect much of that here.

The film co-stars Albert Brooks, Megan Fox, John Lithgow, Melissa McCarthy, and Jason Segel. It hits American screens on December 21.
