Linklater, Delpy, and Hawke have already wrapped shooting on “Before Midnight”

Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy star in Richard Linklater's "Before Midnight"It was only a couple months ago that we learned that Richard Linklater, July Delpy, and Ethan Hawke were officially planning a follow-up to “Before Sunrise” and “Before Sunset” and a couple weeks ago that we learned that the trio were scouting locations in Greece.

Well, now comes news that they have not just started shooting the project, but finished. Despite the love that cinephiles have for these films, clearly they are not a big news item for the paparazzi. Still, it’s rather amazing that two relatively big stars could shoot a whole movie without anyone noticing in today’s Internet-connected world.

Deadline‘s Mike Fleming shared the only photo currently available from the production (pictured above), which is now officially titled “Before Midnight.” He also obtained a brief statement from Linklater, Delpy, and Hawke, which doesn’t tell us much more than we already knew: “It’s great to be back together again, this time in beautiful Greece to revisit the lives of Celine and Jesse nine years after Jesse was about to miss his flight.”

“Before Midnight” is due to be released in 2013. With such a quick production process, one assumes that the finished product will be ready in time for Sundance, if that’s the sales route the filmmakers choose.
